In response to the previous ask, how much did Bailey cost? And how much did you spend on the toys, shots and food when you first got her? Interested in getting a little mixed pugsie like Bailey too!

bailey was a sale puppy because she was already four months old by then; i paid $600 before taxes. toys is a hard one because i spoil her rotten, but toys average $6-10 and she’s got soooo many. shots and vet bills are expensive, this is the main concern if money is an issue. just having the vet take a look at your pup is easily a couple hundred; not including shots and other procedures. her first vet bill was about $300-400? she had to have a full health check up and a few shots. also getting your pup neutered or spayed may seem cruel; but recommended. i have yet to do so, but will soon. food can be pricey depending on brand. i buy bailey expensive food because cheaper foods have a lot of filler in it which would make her fat and poo lots. plus the food i buy her makes her fur super soft and shed less. pugs shed A LOT. be pre-warned, nothing black is safe. but research! i took her to obedience school when she was a pup, that cost about $200. you may or may not need it. pugs/bostons are both really stubborn breeds. hard headed, but trainable if you put the work in. and they have so much love to give. too much in fact. i hope you find yourself a pup you’ll love as much as i love bailey, if not even more. they change your life.
